The Property

The spacious, deep living room with sea view and patio. A corridor connects to the trio of bedrooms – two especially lovely ones have the same sea view and direct access to the chic paved terrace through French windows. The third has a garden view window. Completing the floor plan are two bathrooms, each of which has already been fitted with a simple white bathroom suite and a shower.

The windows are in smart white, offset in sturdy plastered walls, and the floors are flagstones. Air-conditioning units have already been installed in every room.

The location, between Cefalú and Pollina, is practically perfect. Blissfully distant from the busiest tourist thoroughfares, it nonetheless offers easy access to the picturesque hills of the Madonie Natural Park (where the hilltop medieval town of Pollina can be found, with superb views and a wonderful outdoor theatre) and to the beaches visible from your seafront villa. In Cefalù you’ll find cobbled streets and secluded little piazzas, dotted with adorable boutiques and colourful bars. Every few moments the warm sea breeze brings the scent of sumptuous home cooking or the fresh produce of the kitchens at some enticing eatery.

Visible out to sea on a clear day, the spectacular volcanic archipelago of the nearby Aeolian Islands makes a thrilling boat trip. In fact, you will need no more than a couple of hours in a car to reach any of Sicily’s myriad attractions, from the majestic Greek temples of Agrigento and the salt flats of Trapani, to the towering cauldron of Mount Etna in the east.

The nearest international airport can be reached in just over an hour by car or train. Palermo, the largest and most exciting of Sicily’s cities, offers direct flights to all major European destinations.
