Even closer is the station, with regular connections to Messina and Sicily’s bustling metropolitan capital, Palermo. This can be reached in an hour by road or rail, and the city’s international airport connects to all major European hubs.

Inland lie the rolling hills of the Madonie Natural Park, and out to sea are the volcanic Aeolian Islands, visible from Cefalù on a clear day.
